Aldi Love x

If there is anyone still out there unaware of the joy of aldi, anyone thinking it must be a ghastly hideous shipping experience... Just take a look at these! 69p!! I extol it's virtues wherever I go! I love the fact I have my choice greatly reduced! I'm in and out with a family shop in half an hour. I have halved my food bill! A free range chicken is £4.99 and now I can even buy halloumi and prosecco! What's not to love?! No more massive food bills, no more nearly crying at none stop decision making in aisles full of toilet cleaner alone! For the indecisive amongst us it's a heaven sent shopping experience! And every week a little gem like cherries or peaches or asparagus turns up for 69p! Evangelical?! Hell yeah!

I feel the same about Lidls.... Unfortunately we don't have an Aldi on our doorstep...

I've only been to Aldi a couple of times but remember being impressed with the price and qaulity of the fresh fruit and veg. Unfortunately my husband is a bit of a food snob and refuses to shop in Aldi and as he does the food shop and most of the cooking I can't really complain.

We have a local Aldi & Lidl - love them both. Let me at the cheese section - yum, yum, yum!

I totally agree!! I am a food snob! I had a food blog! That's how good it is....I will convert the woooooorld!

*just kidding*

Low cost when you know what you're looking at does not correspond to low quality...just a thought :-)

It's a challenge...?

Still here. I'm always up for a challenge.
I think work have spoilt him letting him take clients to fancy restaurants like Heston's and one in Manchester where all the footballers go. Thinks nothing of spending £65 on a bottle of wine - on work expenses of course!
Or It might be because he worked in the stock room of Aldi when he was a school boy and has seen things we probably would rather not know about!
Still a food snob!

I LOVED Aldi when I lived in the UK! Such a shame Canada hasn't caught on yet!

I know what you mean about the agony of choice (and my own indecision). I waste hours trying to work out if something is a good deal. And I still spend too much, even in Asda.

I haven't shopped at Aldi since my student days in Manchester (long ago) not through snobbery just because I've got into the habit of using 'the big 4'.

I'm going to head to my nearest Aldi/Lidl forthwith and check it out.
