It's Just a Cupcake x

Good Morning, Dear Reader! Are you all still appalled with my bout of March Madness? Am I forgiven? You'll be relieved to hear it is over for another year and have started chucking things into the cupboard under the stairs again, ignoring the washing pile and am already shoving half finished projects under my desk skirt.....so you see all back to normal!Have a cupcake!I made these for new friends coming to play...

Anxiously, I am thinking perhaps this lovely new mummy friend was aghast! She may even have said I won't be coming to her house any time soon? Yes I am sure thats what she said....ooooooooh! I tried to tell her that my cupcakes were not created to worry her, to make her anxious, to make her suspicious that she was in fact in Stepford...indeed it was nothing about her! It was pure selfishness...and a happy husband what made me do it, guv! I just like to bake! Me! I am incapable of eating them all, so please eat them with me! I promised I cook in my pj's, no magic hour conjured up, I would just rather be baking and tootling in my lamp lit kitchen then watching re runs of Top Gear! I don't think she believed me....
So here is the proof!Baked in the evening, iced while Master B at nursery...

(What do you think? Am I insufferable? Shall I stop baking? Will anyone invite me to their house ever again?)

NEVER stop baking, EVER!!
Remember those who do not bake or bake a little think there is something magical involved that's all and that it takes HUGE amounts of time. It's neither magic or time...
They'll be back, remembering the lovely lady who fed them cake.
I wish I could come and eat one, I NEED a cupcake!

Ah the panic is over, you've stopped with the spring clean! Hurrah. You were making me go off you missus.

I have had women say that I'm making them feel bad by baking when they come round. Alas the truth is myself and Mr Thrifty have home made cakes all to often because we are gluttens.

Now give me one of those cupcakes woman, be a dear.

arrrrrrrrrrr Ali! That is just what I needed to hear, after I closed the door yesterday! I felt a little silly, Iike I had done something a bit mad and unreal by giving home baked cake? You are always welcome here, for hugs and fat cupcakes! Tea or coffee....x

I apologise for the cleaning it is an affliction that all the women in my family suffer from thanks to my Nana!

Been popping by your blog for a little while now, so today I come out of the shadows - Hello!
Your spring cleaning post was funny...and oh so true. I even have a thing where I have to clear of my desk completely (I am talking computer, printer, all the crap) clean it and then put it all back together again when I am stressed out and have so much to do I don't know where to start...only then can I dig into the big To Do list (I work from home too). Love the cupcakes, and DO NOT stop baking - they'll be back...for more CAKE!

How quickly do you think I could escape there? The Ironing Pile Monster keeps staring at me with beady eyes and I want it to stop...I need to run away....I like a Spring Clean, not this daily mundane dross!!!
I almost feel a tantrum coming on, shame there's no one around to pay attention to it!
If I mentioned the 'look' people give when you dare utter 'home made' [anything], would you understand?

oh Ali, yes! YES I do! Like you said a four letter word?! I am laughing at the thought of your tantrum in isolation!! Have it and take photos!! hahahaha! x

It is NEVER too early to start on the champers. I'm currently eyeing up the bottle of pudding wine someone gave me yesterday. Must resist.

We need to sort out some kind of Manchester meet soon.

I think we have a blogland meet, a tea party in us all?! Maybe the summer?! x

Yes, that sounds an idea.
Vintage dresses and cupcakes the only requirement. I shall be vay, vay strict on that one.

I'd be nothing but thrilled if my hostess were to offer me a sweet home-baked treat. Keep on Baking!

I love your dress!!

And I'll have a cupcake - you needn't eat them all! I find myself at my optimum productivity when in pyjamas, long may this live!

If there is baking involved then I am in for a Blogland meet (even though I am new) ...I have to confess I have a big dish of Stovies bubbling and also a cake in the oven as we speak!

Those cakes look so yummy!

After that post on spring cleaning...I felt so ashamed of my mucky old house and washed all the cushion covers...as well as some other nasty deep cleaning stuff.....then the cat spewed up, all over the flipping clean floor!

:>)
