A lovely quote from a lovely woman! I completely and utterly agree! There is something so satisfying about 'dressing' your feet! They don't have muffin tops, get saggy, need makeup to do the school run, or require expensive "pemptopeptides"! Just a little TLC, a spot of colourful polish and something pretty or wild or theatrical or fabulous or warm and comfortable! Never never ugly though! It is a rule that my mother and I live by! No matter what occurs, ugly shoes are a sin in our house!
These are my wonderful, satin wedding shoes, bought days before the big day, spotted by my shoe worshipping mum! Exactly the perfect shade of Framboise, that my dress was!Frills....adorable! Especially on shoes! White? I know! Shall I? Shan't I? But I did and discovered that if worn with orange tights, you look vintage and not at all bridal! I wear these all the time now, with various tights colour combos!
These are todays purchase! (from Primarni....gasp!) I believe that every woman, somewhere within her has a secret desire for the perfect pair of red shoes! I blame fairy tales...little dancing shoes, little elvin shoes in jewel hues, princesses, poor maids with dreams of pretty shoes! I love everything about these! The cute, vintage inspired heel, the stunning colour, the patent leather, sweet roundness of a Mary-Jane!Who ever designed these, was a kindred spirit! Red polka dot insoles! I adore polka dots, they make me happy, even if I am standing on them!
And these are for you mum! I bought them for you today! The quilting, the black patent toes, the Chanel inspired chain and black piping! A ballet pump is indeed a joy to behold! Simplicity....shoe-ified! Ageless, elegant, perfect for every occassion! Love!
For shoe fiends everywhere....there are worse things to swoon over! x
