Work....

Oooooooh its very exciting and not a little daunting!

I have a stall at my very first craft fair! In three weeks time.....hmmmmm! I have got the rudimentary workings of a Folksy shop.....oh Lordy!

And on top of this I have been 'hired' to knit two giant cushion covers to complete a refurbished living room.

Other news in pictures...

poorly again!
Cup of tea and a slice of gingercake (I know its Lent...I am such a heathen!)

(russian doll needle book PaperFish www.folksy.com)
PS Is there any clever crafters out there with tips on how to photograph items when there is no sunshine? Should I just wait?

You have been a busy lady. School craft fairs are a really good way of getting into it all, slightly nerve racking when you realise you are displaying YOU to everyone... sorry, didn't mean to add another bit stress!
Photography is a pain sometimes, some people do it so well.
Good luck!

Hi Dear Toni,

I found your blog :O)I am in complete awe of the amazingly beautiful crafts that you create. COMPLETE AWE. I have not managed to do any knitting at all since Tino came along. Puppies and wool do not go together.

I am a bit of a photo nut and have a few tips in regards to your question.

It depends what type of camera you have but hopefully you have a SLR????? There are a number of things you can do with a digital SLR:

1. Adjust the ISO (light sensitvity) you can play around depending on the light but you can just try to go higher and higher (from 200 - 1600)

2. Play around with the aperture and shutter speed. Ideally you need a tripod or something to balance the camera on because then you can use a large aperture (F/5) AND a slow shutter speed (90 and below).

Trying these two things will compensate for little light. Have you tried using artificial light??

Finally, wait for the sun???? Though I can imagine that is not always so practical in sunny blighty!!!

Masses of luck with the fair. I am sure you will do fantastically :O)

Have you ever considered opening a store on etsy.com???
